About the Area
The wildlife that lives in the area is wild...we encourage you to watch from the pool and leave the wetland to the birds. We regularly host sandhill cranes, deer, antelope, bald and golden eagles, redwinged blackbirds, robins, magpies, lazuli buntings, western tanagers, goldfinch, chickadees, hummingbirds, sandhill cranes, harriers, & one cat named Olive Oyl.
Montana has rattlesnakes - stay on paths and avoid climbing around rocks and piles of lumber. We’ve never had a problem with guests and snakes and would love to keep it that way. If you see a snake, leave it alone and report it to the folks in the office immediately. Thanks.
